Ida Linehan Young Author Reading Series in October

16 Oct
St. John's
8:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Ida Linehan Young, in conjunction with her publisher Flanker Press, will be hosting an on-line reading series from her best-selling novel, The Liars, on Facebook Live, starting on Friday, October 9, at 8 pm.

A Message from Ida:

"Starting on Friday, October 9, and the next 3 Friday's, my author reading series will be back. I will be doing readings from The Liars, to bring a 'little book club of sorts' to my Facebook friends, family, and followers. I will read for 20 minutes and then we can have a discussion about those parts or I can read some more.

Remember - click on "Interested" not on "Going" because I'm not sure how Facebook will handle what it thinks is a crowd gathering.

Either way, it will pop up for you on Friday night." - Ida

The dates for the on-line series are:

Friday, October 9, 8:00 pm

Friday, October 16, 8:00

Friday, October 23, 8:00 pm

Friday, October 30, 8:00 pm

About Flanker Press
Turning pages since 1994

Flanker Press is a bright spark in the Newfoundland and Labrador publishing scene. As the province’s most active publisher of trade books, the company now averages twenty new titles per year, with a heavy emphasis on regional non-fiction and historical fiction.

The mission of Flanker Press is to provide a quality publishing service to the local and regional writing community and to actively promote its authors and their books in Canada and abroad.

Now located in Paradise, Flanker Press has grown from a part-time venture in 1994 to a business with eight full-time employees. In the fall of 2004, Flanker Press launched a new imprint, Pennywell Books. This imprint includes literary fiction, short stories, young adult fiction, and children’s books.
